Embed a Google Map

A custom Google Map that has been saved under “My Maps” can be embedded on your site. Here’s how:

Go to the map view you want, and click Share. Change the map from Private to Public. Save changes and click done.

Then, click the menu icon and “Embed on my site”.

Copy the Embed code.

Go to the wordpress post or page that you want the map on.

Paste the code into the text area, then change the first and last < and > to these brackets instead: [ and ]

Add_New_Post_‹_Wordpress_for_Class_Projects_—_WordPress

So <iframe src=”https://www.google.com/etc” width=”600″ height=”450″ frameborder=”0″ style=”border:0″></iframe> becomes

[iframe src="https://www.google.com/etc" width="600" height="450" frameborder="0" style="border:0"></iframe]

You can place text, images, or whatever you want above or below the code.

Preview or Publish your page or post and you will see the map.
